Autumn Statement: Government increases heating oil payment to £200

On 17th November, the government announced it would increase the scheduled payment to heating oil customers to £200. This was increased from £100, as previously annoucned.

The payment, which is believed to occur via a credit to electricity bills, is designed to help customers with meeting the growing costs of living.

We will keep our customers informed as and when more information becomes available. At the moment, we do not know if payment will be automatic, or if customers will need to register their eligibility.
