Barton Petroleum’s 2023 Round Up
This year, Barton Petroleum has been quite busy, engaging in various activities like participating in shows, sponsoring events, hosting local Members of Parliament at our depots, and engaging in discussions about renewable liquid fuels and future plans.
In February, we became official partners with Northampton County Cricket Club and in June we went and watched the T20, having had a great experience seeing our new sign under the floodlights.
In June, we hosted a stall with a very popular 10/20 1926 tractor at the Rutland County Show, where we met some amazing people and also raised an amazing £256.20 for Cancer Research with our raffle.
A huge Thank you to Mike, Charles, Esther, Ange and Jan for their help and for making it a success!
In July, the Leicester depot also supported the Ashby Show and the Blaston Show with the same enthusiam, and the Watford depot successfully renewed our FORS silver accreditation.
In September, we hosted Local MP for North East Bedfordshire Richard Fuller MP at our Oakley depot, where we discussed all things Renewable Liquid Fuels. The visit was particularly important, as amendments to the Energy Bill, with implications for rural heating, were voted on in Parliament the day after. See a link here to Richard Fuller MP participation during the energy bill debate.
In October, we hosted Dean Russell MP at our Watford Depot, discussing our future plans to adapt to the country’s net zero targets with a focus on sustainable fuel whilst remaining affordable to our customers – and you’re very welcome for the hi-vis!
In December we had a great evening attending the RABI Winter Drinks at Lamport Hall. We donated 500L of heating oil, which raised £460 and overall the event raised over £18,000!
