Research by Which? magazine has revealed that the price of heating oil has continued to drop since the beginning of the year and advises to buy now if you want to get a cheaper price.
The price of heating oil is now around 40p a litre – down from around 46p in January 2015. This is because there is less demand for heating oil in the summer months, so prices tend to be lower.
This summer, prices are even lower than they’ve been previously, as the price of crude oil has dropped.
Of course, this isn’t always the case. So it’s a good idea to keep an eye on prices over the year.
