It’s almost time for the FPS EXPO 2019 …and we have not one but three nominees!
We are pleased to announce that both our Wellingborough and Oakley depots are finalists in the QBE Insurance sponsored FPS Depot of The Year Awards, but not only that, our very own James Coates is a finalist in the OAMPS sponsored Federation of Petroleum Suppliers (FPS) Driver of The Year Awards too.
When the Depot of the Year Awards were launched in 2005 here’s what Vanessa Cook, Marketing & Events Manager for the Federation of Petroleum Suppliers (FPS), and organiser of the FPS 2005 Exhibition and Conference commented: “This award gives recognition to distributors for the hard work and dedication to meeting the high standards set by the legislative authorities. We hope too that it will give the winning depot a sense of achievement. Companies have the responsibility to contribute to the improvement of standards and will therefore undoubtedly benefit from entering the award and therefore undergoing an FPS Depot Certification scheme audit.”
As regards Driver of the Year, Ian Peach of OAMPS Hazardous Industries comments: “The oil tanker drivers are at the core of all we do within the oil distribution industry, and OAMPS Hazardous Industries are delighted to sponsor the Driver Of The Year competition. Together with the FPS, we believe this award encourages all drivers to operate at the highest levels of safety, customer care and professionalism – something that can only be positive for the sector as a whole.”
For 2019, the event will bring together leading figures and companies in the industry to review new products and services from the supply chain, look at new innovations, admire best practice and identify opportunities. The show is regarded by those in the industry as the place to launch new products and services, meet clients and do business.
The winners will be announced on 15 May at the FPS EXPO Awards Presentation. Wish us luck!
