The first phase of a new campaign aimed at advising home heating oil consumers to be more energy efficient has been rolled out by OFTEC and the Federation of Petroleum Suppliers (FPS). The Oilsave initiative provides support to heating oil consumers on upgrading their systems and improving energy efficiency as an alternative to switching to other energy sources.
Commenting on the launch, OFTEC’s marketing manager Malcolm Farrow said ‘oil heating customers now have an excellent new resource to help them improve their energy efficiency and save money. With the Government’s Green Deal and Renewable Heat Incentive promoting the use of renewables, it’s never been more important to get reliable advice – and that’s just what Oilsave provides. Many rural homeowners would be better off upgrading their existing heating system and making other energy efficiency improvements, rather than risking the costly and disruptive switch to renewables.’
The campaign is supported by Barton Petroleum along with some of the biggest names in the heating industry and will be developed further in the months to come. For more information take a look at the Oilsave website
