As the harvest season rumbles on, Case IH is the latest farming machinery manufacturer to show its combine developments, with updates right across all models.
Replacing the 230 series, the new 240 Axial Flow series represents Case IH’s latest combine development, bringing more power and performance.
Three models make up the range – the 7240, 8240 and the flagship 9240 – ranging from 500hp to 634hp.
The engine is one of the main drivers for the updates as the combines have to meet ever stricter emission regulations.
Now meeting Stage 4 emission level regulations, power has been upped right across the board, thanks to the use of sister company FPT’s Cursor 16 engines.
To clean up emissions, FPT is sticking with its selective catalytic (SCR) strategy by use of its new Hi-eSCR system.
Using only AdBlue, the firm says it can optimise engine tuning for maximum performance, without having to deal with exhaust gas recirculation.
