We’re Supporting The Little Grey Fergie Challenge
01/03/2023
At Barton Petroleum, we are proud to support the charitable efforts of local businesses, customers, and members of the communities we serve. That is why we are pleased to share that we are donating to the Little Grey Fergie Challenge.
This inspiring challenge will see Pete Burdass drive his restored 1949 Ferguson TED20 tractor from John O’Groats to Land’s End to raise money for the Motor Neurone Disease Association.
It is a remarkable journey, made even more special by the vehicle Pete has chosen for the challenge. The Ferguson TED20, often known as the “Little Grey Fergie”, is one of the most recognisable tractors in British farming history. For many people in rural communities, it represents hard work, resilience, and the strong link between farming, transport, and local life.
A Journey Across the Country for an Important Cause
Driving from John O’Groats to Land’s End is a major challenge in any vehicle. Completing the journey in a restored 1949 tractor makes it even more impressive.
Pete’s route will take him across the length of Great Britain, covering hundreds of miles while raising awareness and funds for an important charity. The journey is a powerful reminder of what can be achieved when people commit their time, energy, and passion to helping others.
At Barton Petroleum, we understand how important community support can be. Many of the homes, farms, and businesses we supply are part of close-knit local communities where people look out for one another. Supporting causes like this is one way we can help make a positive contribution beyond our day-to-day work.
Supporting the Motor Neurone Disease Association
The funds raised through the Little Grey Fergie Challenge will support the Motor Neurone Disease Association.
Motor neurone disease can have a devastating impact on individuals, families, and friends. The work carried out by the association helps provide support, fund research, and improve understanding of the condition.
By taking on this challenge, Pete is not only raising money but also helping to bring more attention to the vital work being done to support people affected by motor neurone disease.
Why Barton Petroleum Is Proud to Donate
Barton Petroleum has long-standing connections with rural communities, agriculture, local businesses, and households across the areas we serve. From domestic heating oil deliveries to fuel support for farms and commercial customers, we know how important reliability, trust, and local relationships are.
The Little Grey Fergie Challenge reflects many of those same values. It is rooted in community spirit, determination, and a willingness to go the extra mile for a good cause.
We are pleased to make a donation and help support Pete on his journey. We hope the challenge raises as much awareness and funding as possible for the Motor Neurone Disease Association.
Best of Luck, Pete
Everyone at Barton Petroleum would like to wish Pete the very best of luck with the Little Grey Fergie Challenge.
Driving a restored 1949 Ferguson TED20 from John O’Groats to Land’s End is no small task, and we admire the time, effort, and commitment involved in making this journey happen.
We will be following Pete’s progress and cheering him on as he takes on this fantastic fundraising challenge.
